Daily Schedule

Our Daily Practice

Monasteries are places devoted to spiritual practice and personal transformation. Residents of the monasteries (monks, nuns, laymen, and laywomen) dedicate their lives to follow the Buddha's teachings to achieve awakening. Living a simple life allows them to focus their energy on the study and practice of Buddhism. Thus, Master Hua established a rigorous daily schedule to help us in our cultivation.

Our daily schedule is a combination of cultivation, study, and practice. The schedule includes chanting mantras, reciting sutras, bowing, and repentance. It offers a structure and guideline for our daily life. The rigorous schedule leaves little room for idle thoughts and needless chatter. Adhering to the daily schedule helps to discipline our body and regulate our mind.
